Default Brake bleeding

This winter I decided to flush my brake fluid. I started in the rear and used a mighty vac to pull the fluid through till I got clean fluid. And did that at each caliper. I went to drive it for yhe first time this season. The peddle pumped up great. But when I started it the peddle went down much further than normal. I took it around the block and when braking hard the brake light comes on. I'm gonna try bleeding it with a helper working the peddle. Just wondering if there are any special steps to take.

Oh yeah, 92 corvette 6 speed.

93stroked, does the C4 have a 45mm threaded hydraulic fluid reservoir cap? Also, is brake fluid spilled when the bleeder cap is removed after your job if finished?
