WinALDL & TunerPro ????
Memcals (chips) are identified by a 3 or 4 letter code on the memcal itself ; ANHY .ARAP ,etc
#16198259 is the later version of the 1227165 which is the '86 - '89 MAF ECM .
Can supply diagnostic data at 8192 BAUD
Completely different from the #1226870 ECM used one year only in '85 (only 160 BAUD )
TunerPro is showing files for use with the '85 ($1F) although I believe WinALDL is program of choice for '85 owners
A '85 can be re pinned to use the later '165 ECM with the better support and tuning capabilities

Possibly cheaper in the long run because you don't need the rare , expensive ,'85 only MAF burnoff module under the dash ; just some $12 relays

Also - the "bare" PROM chip in the '6870 ECU is dirt simple to read and write - no adapters necessary. Not to mention Cheap. Obsolete chip, but available.
WinAldl, TunerPro, TunerCat - all work fine with the '6870. I personally prefer TunerCat, but in reality TunerPro does the same job. You need the correct mask file for the .bin, either way. They are out there.
Oh - using WinAldl with the 160 Baud '6870 requires lying to the setup routine in the program. It will Work, however.
All of these programs require the right OBD1 adapter cabling - see Moates. They Also are going to require a PC running something Older than Vista or Win7, although I do have TunerCat running under win7 in "virtual PC" (looks like WinXP) mode.
