Default Mystery Bolt

I see that Scorp's mystery bolt issue is solved, well, I have one of my own.

When I put the GS back together, I replaced a bunch of the crap oem fasteners with ARP, grade 8, stainless, etc..... so I had a bucket of the original fasteners left over.

I do have this one odd looking bolt left though. I think it is 1/2-16 thread bolt that is bent into an L. One side of the L is threaded, the other is smooth with no head, just a shank.

Anyone have any idea what the hell this is ???

thanx..............

Give us a hint about what part of the car you took apart and I'll take a look at mine.

I don't remeber where it came from !!

Its not internal, I know that much.

I pulled the entire drivetrain out of the car, so it came from down there somewhere. It cannot be a critical fastener due to the fact that there is no way to torque it down. The fact that it is a big bolt is what concerns me.

Again, it looks like an L with threads on one side, smooth on the other.

thanx for any help!!

Exhaust hanger, maybe? For a rubber hanger/strap???

Is it worn? Does it have even a teeny tiny head on it? Does it look like a nut locked it on?

That wouldn't be one of those "L" shaped bolts used to suspend the spare tire tray would it?
