KOOL BLUE wrok about as well as the K&N???

I have not used Kool Blue but I use and like the K&N.

I've used the kool blue for about 2 and 1/2 years--seems to be well made--cleaning etc. is like k&n.

So you think they are about equal as performance goes?? Have heard you cant tell the diff between a stock filter and K&N without air box work. I assume this goes for the L-98 also.

They will run the same but if something washable is what you want go for it. The paper will filter a little better meaning finer particles but unless youre driving on a dirt road probably doesnt matter (would think anyway)

Since they're the same type/design--I'd imagine whatever small gains (if any) these filters provide they would be the same. I also went with a aftermarket open lid design at the same time.

Save your money and buy a paper filter instead. Both are overrated in my opinion. Guys with AFM cars can actually hurt the MAF if they are over oiled.
