Default dana 44 ?

ok i know there are a lot of threads on here for the dana 44 swap but i figured asking would be a whole lot easyer.. so what all do i need to buy to switch my 1993 to a dana 44... im just trying to get a list together...

A D44 diff with batwing , a D44 driveshaft and a D44 C Beam

..... To swap from a Dana 36 to a Dana 44 you need a 44 complete with batwing ... you will need a D44 driveshaft OR you could have yours shortened by one inch and re-balanced by a competent driveshaft shop ... mine cost less than $100 ... and a D44 C-beam OR you could redrill the mounting holes at the transmission end one inch further back toward the diff ... everything else is a bolt in ................

wow ok thank you....i thought i had to switch out the calibers and all but i guess not...can you just by a d44 driveshaft and will it work without problems?

All C4's use the same outer susp components and brakes ( year for year ) regardless whether a D36 or a D44 was fitted

Im putting a list of "while you are there" together .-

For example i would upgrade some suspension components as well...or so
Soon i picture myself doing this D44 Swap ...

some are re-usable and some not ..i cannot remember ..

Nope
You use the inner yoke that comes with the diff ; both use 1350 series uni joints
The outer yoke doesn't change
