C-4 Sending Unit
Help.. The fule pump on my 96 LT-4 dropped to 33 Lbs so installed NOS pump and sending unit .. Pump works great sending unit not . The old sending was off half tank with new unit off half tank .You can put in 6-7 Gal of gas in tank after the last bar hits full so I am thinking the float rod is bent ..Lots of money I don't want to start bending stuff ..I don't get it.. It's funny that both were off about the same.. Driveing me nuts and walking down the road to the gas station is next... Thanks...

That is characteristic of the C4s of those years. My car did the same so I came up with a way to compensate for the problem. It is not a real fix but just helps with a litter better accuracy. Here is what I did.

I read all the other posts and wow I did not know the gas thing on the C-4s was a big deal . I guess men just don't talk about gas...gauges.. Well I will read all that high teck stuff one more time and see what I can come up with ..No sticking gas thang going to whip me . It's hard to think with the work I put in this 96 that a gas gauge will whip me . I'm going in.... Thanks for all the help from the Corvette people .. Got to love it...
