This weekend I installed my system and it is set at 100hp right now. I need to get some drag radials and then I am off to the track again. If you look at my profile you can see my list of mods so what do I need now?
I port matched the intake and opened it up, I stretched the runners with those steel ***** and opened up the plentum. When I was done with that I had it extruded honed and all of it tumbled for 6 hours.
Right now I am running a 75 hp shot with 6* of timing and I have not had any detonation yet. I have not gone bigger because I do not have drag radial tires yet
you will be able to spray in second on a 100 shot without drag radials.
I spray a 125 shot after its several feet off the line. I like to take it easy on the dana 36. I'm using sumitomo street tires with a 2800 stall. I get 1.8 and 1.9 60's. Traction doesnt seem to be too much of an issue when hitting the nitrous either.

how much timming are you pulling out? are you using a throttle micro switch? Are you just clicking on the system after you shift into second gear?

The timming is being pulled in the tune. I have an NA tune and a N2O tune I switch between. I'd have to check it again but I believe the timming has about 5 or 6 deg pulled on the N2O tune. I have a Zex dry kit. It has a management unit that helps protect against lean/rich conditions and also only activates if the TPS is reading 100% throttle. I usually flip the switch right after the 1-2 shift.

So who did your tune? What do I need to get to be able to do my own custom tune?

With my 95 LT1 I am able to reprogram the PCM. I had a custom tune done by PCMFORLESS. They email me the file and I upload it to the PCM from my laptop using TunerCat and an OBD to USB cable. I use Datamaster TTS for Datalogging and troubleshooting. I believe with your 1990 you will need a custom chip sent to you. If you are interested in burning your own chips the place below should have all the stuff you need.
