Default power seat movement issues

yesterday I went to car (90 convet) and the passenger seat makes a loud almost grinding sounds and wont move foward or back. I know time to replace the motor; My question is how can I move the seat to access the rear seat bolts to get the rails out? any ideas are welcomed

use a gear wrench, after you've removed the seat itself, if you havent already. BTW I have a new rebuilt one for sale over in the for sale section $100 plus shipping

You should be able to remove the lower seat cushion, then remove the 4 bolts that hold the lower seat pan to the motor/track assy and lift the seat out. Then you shold be able to access the entire track mechanism.

Default and it probably is not the motor...

the transmission is the weak point on these. I bought a seat track assy from the bay, and it cost more than the previous post. The catalogs want $200+ & core.

You can get just the transmission from Keen Parts. No need to spend extra getting an entire track assembly.
