Hi,
just wanted to share my experience while replacing the fuel pump.
Well, while replacing my fuel pump I thought it might be a good idea to replace the 23 year old pulsator as well.
I did so and after about a month I got suddenly had problems starting the car while going for some shopping...
On the way home it would drive ok, but as soon as you push the throttle it would buck and hesitate pretty bad.
Fortunately I was just 10 miles from home.
As I immediately suspected the fuel pressure, I checked it and found it extremely low.
So, thinking it might be the new fuel pump but checking to no avail I replaced the new pulsator with the old one just to check.
Everthing is fine again, the made in China pulsator didn´t last 500 miles....
Is there any possibility I made a mistake while installing the new one? I doubt it though....
Wait till China comes up with their fleet of nuclear power plants.....with their sense for quality control prepare for weeky Fukushimas.
I have not seen ONE product from China thats not overly inferior. And the problem is you don´t even have the choice anymore. I would never buy China-crap if I had the choice. The pulsator was an AC Delco one btw.

I would at least send AC Delco a hot letter about their inferior Chinese part!
It is not the first AC Delco part that has a big Made in China on it.
I remember buying new MAF and fuel pump relays from the dealership because I wanted OEM reliability. One relay failed and I wanted to get all 3 new just for the peace of mind.
I thought the original USA made ones that lasted 22 years, made by AC would be the best choice.
Get home, open the box....Made in China, fine. I still keep the working old ones just in case.
