Road trip in the LT-1 a couple years ago (before speed limits) from Ft Lewis (Seattle) to east coast, going across Montana....long flat road for miles, no traffic at all. Speedo says 163 and that was all she had. I did have at least a 100+ pounds of luggage with me. Stayed over 100 for several hours (with the A/C on), drove great...all gauges read normal. Have taken the Z up to 170, ran out of road. :cool:

235kph...when it was still stock...and it could've went faster if I had the space. I just installed Ansa mufflers and have a hypertech thermomaster chip on the way, I'm going to add a K&N filter also.
Every time I've gotten up to that speed traffic has started to thicken and I backed off. You should have no problem hitting 150mph...I was still accelerating in 5th :D

142 is the fastest I ran out of road. I have been between 135 and 142 more times than I can count and on different roads with different conditions and it handled smooth every time. The time I did 142 I had a guy with me who had never ridin' in a fast car. He swore he would not ride with me again. :lol: :D

When I first got mine I took it to 145 then backed off because of traffic. I have only been to 130 since. Felt like the car was floating. Nothing like curving around an interstate at 145.

I drive almost everyday, in the early morning, on the i-5 at about 110-120mph. (it's pretty much deserted) The car is rock solid. At 145 my wheel starts to shake a little. So I never went faster then that.

Personal best was 260kph, the usual story not enough road. Used to get up to 270-290 on past sport bikes I've owned or ridden, but doing those kinda speeds in a car is totaly different. :cheers:

135mph driving it to California from buying the car in Lousiana.

i went real fast.... it was exciting... not sure of mph due to an inaccurate speedo at the time but i was in front of a 01 C5 (mdl-01C5) and he dropped off at about 145.. he said i was running away from him like he had the plague, but then reason took over and i started thinking of the last time i had checked torque on every critical bolt that holds the car together i imagine close to 165-170 real quick with plenty more on tap, and lets face it at that speed an air bag isn't gonna cut it.. you better have dental records in the car! not smart..not bragging...but its something we all do when we feel like kings of the world behind the wheel of a vette!!!!! enjoy!

Stock 88 automatic - 108 mph while travelling with a pack of other Corvettes :D
She has a little shake at 75 - 85 but once past that it smooths out. Did feel a little light, but not like it was going to take off the road.
Maybe on the trip to Bowling Green next month we'll go faster, depends on the rest of the Rat Pack :D :D :D

183 MPH.....still had a bit more in it, but was nearing where I needed to be. So I figured I should slow down.
Car was a 1990 Coupe 6spd Z51 with 383 super ram motor. 361 RWHP and 411 RWTQ SAE corrected.
Handled like a dream at speed. Not floaty or loose feeling at all.

165 mph on I-70 going through Utah with my brother. That's with my old mods and she was still pulling. With the new mods I'm going to go somewhere nice and quite and wide open and see if I can't get over 200 MPH!
The car handled great the entire time, but man when you get going that fast the world looks a lot different to you.

Around 160 is all for me. But now that I have the stock 3.45s back it will be more. The first video in my sig is at about 140 by the end of the video.
