Replacing a 4+3
#2
The 4+3 is a Borg Warner Super T10 manual transmission with a Doug Nash overdrive unit attached already.
You have the best of both.
4-speed manual for dragstrip or road race action.
And fuel economy when driving on the highway or expressways.

In a word, no. The OD unit on the 4+3 serves as the tailshaft and the C-beam attaches to the OD case. The C4 has no trans mount as the C-beam serves that purpose.
You would need to fabricate some sort of adapter to attach the C-beam to the T-10 tailshaft. The standard T-10 and the 4+3 are different lengths so the driveshaft would need to be modified.
As mentioned, the 4-speed portion of the 4+3 is a Super T-10 and is a very strong tranny.
If you are looking for a replacement trans, Keisler makes a nice 5-speed conversion kit which is a bolt-in system. IIRC, Richmond Gear also has a 6-speed trans that is a bolt in. A ZF 6-speed from an 89 or later C4 can also be installed with not too much work.
