Default Timing was off by 4 degrees

A few weeks ago I changed the Harmonic Balancer

Started the car for the first time today because the suspension rebuild is finally finished. Timing was 10 degrees instead of 6. Should run better now.

10 is almost always better than 6...as long as your car can take it. Some vettes won't allow for 10 deg timing without some pinging....but if it likes it, the more the merrier.....

I gained 1.5 mph through the traps going from 6 to 9.5 degrees.

I don't think it liked 10. Always seemed about to ping under hard acceleration.
