Default 92 Vette code 44 left Oxy. Sensor Cir. Lean

My just bought 1992 Corvette has a code 44, which is left oxygen sensor circuit lean. As of right now I have no service manual. What does this code mean and what are possible remedies? I assume this is the reason the "service engine soon light" will occasionally come on and then go off. Thank you for any help.

Check the wires leading to the O2 sensor, IIRC thats the driver side sensor code.
If the wires and connections are OK, replace the sensor.
If you buy a new one stay away from Bosch. I need to replace mine AGAIN. I'll be buying something other than Bosch this time.
