Default service engine soon

hi all,

I have a 1988 c4 coupe and the "service engine soon" has luminated what do I have to check??? What do I do to extinguish this warning light???

The vehicle has been serviced recently.

You need to see what trouble code is causing the SES to illuminate. Then you need to repair/replace the problem after doing some diagnostic testing.
Start by finding out what code is stored in the ECM, then post what number(s) you get.

Hi agent 86,

The code was 15 coolant sensor low temp. Where do I look for that??
I'm in Australia and there is nowhere I can take the c4 to get it fixed.

Any Help is greatly appreciated.

Check the wiring to the coolant temp sender (2 wire unit ) at front of intake under the TB
The one in the center; not the one on RHS with large brass hex nut

Read this write-up and follow the proper burping procedure complete with the weep holes in the thermostat and assuming that your low coolant sensor is good, you should solve your problem.

Wrong sensor, his problem stems for ECM coolant temp sensor.

I've read as soon as engine cools down a bit i'll check connectors.

Really appreciated all the help I received. As it turned out that sensor plug was disconnected an easy fix when you know how. I don't care what they say you Yanks that drive corvettes are ok by me lol.
