1990 stumbles on occasion
I have a nice running 1990 Corvette.
Occasionally it acts like it hit the rev. limiter and then runs strong again
after a second. Never happens above 4300 rpm.
Is this a computer distributor?
Any Ideas?
Thinking about replacing the module.
Or even better the whole HEI ignition system.

You might check the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) with a voltmeter to make sure you aren't developing a "dead spot". It should read around .54 volts at idle and smoothly rise to 4.5 to 5 volts at WOT as you open the throttle.
