I have a 94 coupe, and the door locks when you walk up to it don't unlock. It trys to unlock by a little movement, and interior light doesn't come on.They will open when using the power door lock button inside though. The remote is programmed because hatch window will open with that.Anyone have this problem? Thanks
The hatch button doesn't have anything to do with the PKE function. It just shows you have signal output from the remote.
When you first insert the ignition key, and turn on the ignition (you don't have to start the car), in the lower left corner of the DIC it should show the PKE light for 2 seconds. If it doesn't show the PKE warning light, you have to turn the PKE function on by closing the doors and standing outside the car and holding down the DOOR button until the locks actually cycle by locking and then unlocking.
Then, your PKE light will light on ignition, and the PKE will work.

What exactly are you saying? Are you saying the doors lock when you walk away from it? But won't unlock when you walk back to it? Or are you saying you can lock the doors from the inside and expect the doors to unlock when you walk back to it? I really can't tell from your description. Do what Steven suggested, the doors should lock when you walk away, and unlock when you walk back to the car.
