Default Burning Coolant, Help

I went home this past weekend (to a job and am moving to OH), got my vette out and noticed it start to smoke once it wormed up, and by smoke I mean quite a bit. The smoke is white and slightly sweet, I am for sure it is coolant. I had to get back on a plane Sunday so I have not checked the oil.
I am guessing it is an intake gasket, but I guess it could be a head gasket or at worse a cracked head.

Have any of you had this problem?
What did you find wrong?
Is there a problem known problem?

Thanks

You can get a "Block Tester" kit at your local parts store to confirm its a headgasket.
