Default question on early c4 shocks........

i am going to change my shocks in the next couple of weeks and i am wondering which ones i should buy....im pretty much set on billstiens BUT my question is : I have heard that some people have put z51 shocks on a non z51 car.....do they bolt right up? Will they handle better than the regular billstiens? Or is there something better out there in that price range.........
Keep in mind this is a daily driver so i dont want the ride to be too harsh.
thanks

The Edelbrock IAS come pretty recommended...smoother ride then the Z51's from what I hear. They are a bit more in price thou. I plan on going Z51 for my daily driver.

I went with the regular bilsteins on my 86 daily driver. Can't tell you much about the ride difference because I went to 17 inch rims and replaced all the bushings front and rear at the same time. The car handles much better than it did. Previous owner an put regular monroematics on and it rode like a covered wagon.
