You have to use a pump to suck out the oil. You can get a kit to add a drain plug but you do have to drill a hole in the differential housing about 3/4" off center at the bottom. Then I think a self-tapping housing is twisted in that has a drain plug in it.
A pump is cheap. Get one of those containers of 75-90W gear oil that comes with a small pump. Attach a long plastic hose in place of the one in the bottlle and pump away. Not as fast, but I personally don't like the idea of drilling into a housing where I don't know what is on the other side!
