Default Clock spring differences.

I need a clock spring for a 1990 c4. I've managed to find one for a 91-93. How different are these two parts? Would it be possible to make the 91-93 part work?

The clock is digital and part of the radio, there is no spring. What part do you really need? Pic?

I'm not 100% sure what the clockspring is exactly (other than some SRS component), but here is a link to a 1990 one: http://www.newchevroletparts.com/sec...746/125/30746/

I forget the differences in interiors between 90 and 91 (I think the interior redesign was in 90, and exterior in 91, but there may have been interior changes as well), but that would be the thing to check if you want to try to make a 91-93 fit.

I believe the clock spring is a part of the steering column/air bag system.

Ah, indeed. I can find a lot of stuff regarding C5s with this, but nothing C4 related.

I would contact Corvette Steering and see if they can help. I've heard nothing but good things about them and everything steering related.

Cheers for the photo. I'm guessing that's a 1990 one as it's different to the one I have. What plug is on the wire leading to the airbag? On the one I have It has a large yellow plug. But the airbag has a very small hole for a plug. Am I missing another wire or is this just a change between the years?

that yellow wire has a small plug on it that just plugs into the airbag.

Yes, it is a 1990 ... Must be a change between the years.

Bummer, there goes that plan then. So guess I'm back to looking for a 1990 one then. Any help with his would be great.
