On my 92 I use 275x18 Hoosier R6 on 18x10.5" rims, on the rear its tucked in under the fender (if I was concerned with it I'd use an 1/8" spacer). On the front its even or a little under the fender lip.
Replies have covered from 10",11" and 12" wheels interesting,I have aftermarket wheels 10.5" rear and curious what max tire width I can run without protruding past the fender flare on the rear.
Some have very rounded side wall's where it meets the tread and some have a more square shoulder on them.....Any one have pic's running 10.5"-11" wheels on rear without tire protruding?
My 96 has rear 10.5's and as you can see the tires protrude about a 1/4".
Terrific Thanks."themadvetter" that gives me a good indication,I have an 89 vert (believe the fender flare is the same) What make and size tire are you using and does it bulge off the wheel at the top much?
Any other members pic's? including a picture from the "rear" (you know what I mean LOL)
Lower profile tires may bulge a bit less. 1/4 inch isn't too bad. I could definitely live with that. Too bad I can't take the rear of a GS and put in on there. I think I'll go 10.5" on the rear.
