Intermitent "sys" light

I have noticed the sys light flashes. Mostly when the car is cold. I haven't noticed a drivability problem and the light will stay out for a long time. Has anyone had this issue? Thanks,Rich

Thanks STL94LT1. I have felt my alternator is a little loud. It is charging and the battery doesn't seem weak. However I will take the alternator out and replace it. Also the battery terminals are clean and tight. Thanks again.

Before replacing the alternator, have the battery load tested.
You could have a brand new 100% functional alternator, but with a worn out battery you'll still get the SYS light.
