Default 88 fan issues

Motor fan comes on at 225* fan before it (single) seams like it never does or at least I haven't got to the temp that it should...should I be worried ?? I changed from 165* thermostat and a Hyper chip back to stock because I was having all sorts of other issues. Thanks in advance

sounds normal for a C4 with no mods, I read on here that 230 give or take is the turn on temp, hope this helps

Your main fan should go on at about 225 degrees and off again at approximately 212 degrees. Your front auxiliary fan, if you have one, should go on at about 235 degrees. This is normal operation for a stock L98 engine.

GM says fan goes on at 228 F and off at about 210 F. Aux fan goes on at 238 F. These temps will harm nothing in the engine are nothing to worry about whatsoever. GM says to shut the engine off at 260 F and let it cool down. This is because 50% antifreeze at 15 psi boils at 265 F and boiling antifreeze can cause head damage because boiling antifreeze is a poor heat conductor.
