If you do a search of the forum you will find many possible solutions ,depending on your problem. I would get a fuel pressure gauge and start there.another possibility is multech injectors if the coil goes bad they will cause ecm to shut down pulse for injectors .Ohm them out and tell us fuel pressure and injector ohms ,and then go from there .

Nothing will happen if your VATS engages. It will act like there is no power at all, like a dead battery.

Not true. VATS will prevent the starter from cranking and will prevent the injectors from being pulsed by the ECM, but all other electrical devices will work. A system that imitates a dead battery will not allow any other electrical device to work and VATS does NOT do this.
