What is best replacement starter for '94 vette? ACDelco, Denso, Bosch, other?
Get the one with the lifetime warranty. They are easy to change. Got mine from autozone. Most are rebuilt but its not rocket science. A new delco will cost a pretty penny.
Have your original starter motor rebuilt.
The quality of remaned starters from all suppliers just sucks.
Find a local small auto electric shop rebuild yours for you.
I am old fashioned.
I rebuild all my own starters & alternators.
I use only factory GM, FORD, Chysler parts on each.
Or Transpo parts.
I was taught by a guy that ran his own Auto Electrical repair shop for 20 years.
I know what they are selling at all major auto chain stores is JUNK.
I take them apart sometimes for fun.
They half *** everything & many components never should have been reused.
CHINA REMANED JUNK>
The best Racing Super High Torque Starters are made by POWERMASTER & TILTON.
Rest of them are JUNK.
Rest of them failed within 1 year of hard racing use on my own cars.
I have used every brand of racing high torque starter on my own cars & other customer projects last years.
I wont put my name behind any of them unless I use a Powermaster, or TILTON.
I replaced my LT1 starter a few months ago. I purchased a starter from Autozone. Most auto parts stores sell refurbed parts anyway. As another user stated: You will pay a nice "Tax" for a OEM part.
