Grettings,
I'm getting ready to replace the weatherstripping around the rear hatch and the windshield. Are there any "special tools" that you really should get to do this or will regular screw drivers, putty knives, etc., do the job? THis is on my 93' coupe!
Just your basic tools and wire (brass) brushes will work fine. The trick when replacing is PRACTICE...before you glue the front windshild rubber, take a few dry runs and get the feel of it and where it goes. The back doesn't use glue, its friction fitted.
Pretty simple job. Take your time and use the factory weatherstripping, mine was an excellent fit. The rear hatch stripping just locks into place. Remove your rear trim pieces and disconnect your rear hatch struts one at a time to fit your new stripping in. Good luck and what a difference it makes :seeya :seeya
