It should hook up with no problems, just don't throw out or sell your old one, cause i'm sure you'll want to recoupe your $350-400 bucks you'll spend for it.

Keep an eye out on ebay. I have seen 3 for sale in the past year. Not cheap, but they are there. :seeya The idea has crossed my mind a few times as well.

Contact some of the vendors. I got a quote last year for a ZR1 cluster for $300 from a wrecked car.

They all use the same connector and are interchangeable, L98, ZR1, LT1 & LT4.

Just an FYI...

I dont know if they are interchangable or not....I was looking into doing the same thing, but I read somewhere that you need to have something done with your VATS system. A new chip in you key or what not....

Not all are intercahngeable..

90-91 Zr1 and L98 are interchangeable..
92-96 LT1, 96 LT4, 92-96 ZR-1 are interchangeable.

Since the LCD display changed from 91 to 92 the CCM also changed.. the data sent between the two..

Trust me I found out the hard way :D

Lingenfelter and Doug Rippie have both been offering this upgrade for several years... I'm assuming what you want is the higher tach reading? Contact either for exact specs but I believe they simply convert your existing dash over to it. In addition I believe they can change the gauge face colors as well...Last I heard it was around $350-400 for the service.
