Rear Main Cap Question
Building an engine and the DVD I was watching told me there should be a plug in one of the holes in this pic. Should they all be open or do I need a plug?? 1990 Corvette engine.

I believe there is a check valve or some sort of oriface that goes in one of the holes. I will see if I can dig a picture up. Pretty sure it was mentioned that if it wasn't there, you would see about 20 psi oil pressure.

Run a coat hanger up that hole and see how far it goes in. I know the cap is like 8.5 inches from the top (where the oil pressure sensor goes), not sure how far from the bottom. That hole is not supposed to be plugged right there, but up higher in the hole.
