Jon at FICInjectors is the man to ask your questions. IMO 30# injectors are too big for a stock engine.

There is no advantage using a 30lb injector with a stock L98. Talk with Jon @ FIC he will get you the right injectors for your car

The 85 stock injectors were 24#. With all the modifications to my 85, I am still running 24# injectors without issues.

No need to change the level from stock for your car unless you have significant modifications that improved the air into it.

Stock is 22. I went with 24 and had it retuned to accept injectors larger(24). I also have minor mods and plan on doing larger mods in the future.

Jon will most likely recommend the Bosch III 24# injectors that are rebuilt. When I bought them for my stock 85, they ran approx $189.

The Bosch IIIs do a better job of atomizing fuel compared to the stock injectors. If you are installing an adjustable fuel pressure regulator you can increase the fuel pressure a little. The 85's run at a lower pressure than later years. But with the new injectors, the engine will actually run a little leaner. So it will like 3-4 lbs more pressure. TPiS did some dyno runs on an 85 that proved a slight improvement in Hp with the additional pressure.

Good luck. This is a good modification that will improve starting and driveability.

Stock is 24 in 1985, though the spec rating is at a different PSI than 86 and later, it is a different injector.

Exactly, don't put in low lb/hr injectors either and hope the pressure will make them work, it won't. Stick with true 24# in your car.

Exactly right, on the L98 motors 85 is 24, 86-91 is 22, LT1 is a 24, LT4 is a 26.
