Default tach install
Hey fellows trying to install after market tach on my 1989 C-4. which wire do I tie into or plug into on the HEI Dist.
my tach wire is green. Any help appreciated!!! THANKS! T-Toddy

The TACH wire output on your HEI.

It will be marked TACH next to BAT. on the ignition coil cover.

Believe it is a white or off white colored wire.

Find the factory white Tacho wire under the dash going between firewall connector and the instrument cluster plug; splice into that.

Saves having to run a new wire through firewall from dist
