M6 Shifter Question
Hey guys, My shift **** on my 1996 coupe is loose and rattles while I am driving. Is there a screw to tighten the **** somewhere. I looked and cant find it. Any help would be great this is driving me crazy. :seeya

I'm going to assume it's the stock shift ****.
Pry the plastic shift pattern button out and see if you have a "T" shaped wedge in there. If that is missing or somehow broken(would be pretty hard to do), that could be your problem.
The **** just twists on and the wedge holds it from spinning.

There is also a small allen screw on the reverse lockout collar. That might be what is rattling also.
It's on the side facing away from the radio. If you put the shifter into 3rd, you should be able to see it.
