Ok, so the Superram manifold does not have CVS provisions as we all know. My question is what do most of you use to plug the fuel rail on the driver's side where the CSV fuel is delivered from.

I have heard of a kit from TPiS to delete the CSV, but their new webpage is horrible to navigate and you cannot search through it either.

I bought mine from LPE a few years ago and paid around 40 bucks or so for it,id imagine its higher now as youve found out.I also was told accel wasnt making them anymore so what youre buying is left over stock with demand prices.Dont quote me on that though.
:)
However,I may be able to part with the CS screw for the rail itself.Im not currently using it.If I can find it in the tool box somewhere, you can have it cheap. Its a big black screw/bolt with a O ring you install in the back of the rail.
Ill go check and see if I didnt misplace it somewhere.

Bill that would be awesome. Perhaps I can even fabricate my own on one of our our lathes.

If youre not in a hurry to order one today, give me a few hours and Ill get back to you.My toolbox is pack-rat full right now and its possibly even in storage where I rent a unit.I need to go there anyways so Ill look for it there too.
Im also sure you could fabricate one easy after you get one to copy off of.

One more thing,do you plan to convert your pcv hose style to the later style where it curves off the pcv across the valve cover into the manifold?
If so i have the hose and the intake(new never installed) fitting for that style you can have too.But youd need to do something with the charcoal cannister vac-pcv line, perhaps run that through the TB or something.I didnt think you could use the metal pipe under the SR along the valve covers anymore for the pcv system.

Just let me know here and ill get back to you when I find the CS screw.

Scorp,

The block off kit you mentioned includes the small plate to close the hole in the factory runner too, so it is more than just the plug for the fuel rail...but still the cost for this is ridiculous.

I modified the Superam runner to accept the cold-start injector.

Well I am not looking to do that. Perhaps just going to a later year fuel rail would be less hassel. :D ;) j/k

Hey dude,
If you sent mail earlier, its slow, still havent recieved it yet.Ill keep an eye out for it.If nothing in a few hours,Ill repost here and let you know.

Also,if youre sending me mail from a work site, sometimes I wont get it,because webtv will reject as a spamming addy or something. This happened before, another member emailed me from his job but it would get sent back and could only email me from home.Weird.I get spam anyways everyday.

Hey Scorp,
Your lucky to find the bolt/cutoff available from a member.

I took my fuel rail to the local hardware store and made a setup that works with a bolt to seal the fuel off. Sometimes we just got to modify.

PS. Your intake looks awsome, saw it in the general forum.

Do you need the small block off plate for the manifold, if your using a SR? I already have a newer fuel rail.

Am I missing something here? Just get a bolt to plug the hole on the rail. is it left-hand first-century Japenese thread or something? The SR doesn't have the provision, so you don't need all the block-off crap. You just need to plug the hole in the rail, which should be threaded. if it's not threaded, tap it to the thread size of your choice and plug it!

I'm doing mine in a couple weeks, and rest assured, I won't be paying money for the project. :D

Bill, looking at JD 90 383's install, I definitely don't think I'll have space for my '87 PCV tube as you mentioned. :)

Hey scorp,
Wasnt on much today due to errands...no,didnt recieve any mail at all.I also emailed you yesterday at your attbi mail addy, did you get that?If so did you reply with that addy?Im not getting anything yet.I do remember sometime last year or so I emailed you and I think it was a mediaone addy,f so I can try that one if you still have it.

If you still want the CS block off and the late model intake vacuum fitting and the hose, its yours.I had a feeling you would need it due to lack of space for the pcv tubes. The intake fitting will screw into the intake with no problems but its tip is narrower to accept the curved hose like in JD's pic.
(I had bought these misc pieces a while back because I was gonna go with the SR but changed my mind last minute due to funds..dont need them anymore)

Hope the email comes through and let me know here as well if you sent me one or at a different addy I can write to.Dont know whats up with the email.
