Default hood wont open

I put on a new hood with the bright idea to close it and then do my adjustments via the head light holes. now it will not open. I made my own hood opening tool and i think the cable became disconnected.

Any Ideas? I am really stumped on this one

By some chance if things are still intact and it's only binding, have someone else pull the release while you pull up on the hood.

you have to jack the car up, remove the tire, remove the inner fender next to the battery, reach up inside and pry the release with a screw driver, do this on both sides. you can also wait for a tool from one of the venders to come in the mail. pita either way.

This might help :

- Remove fender
- Get a coat hanger and make a hook
- Introduce your hand thru the space between your fender and wheel well
- Introduce the hook from the wiper area, then catch it with your hand and guide the hook to the latch, till you engage them
- Stand up and pull to the center of the car, that should open your hood
- Now never forget to add emergency cables

ps : i have a bad driver side cable retainer and one day it popped out leaving the cable loose and hood closed (all of this after i had the remove fender experience)
it was a real let down..but i remembered that i had emergency cables !!!!
Wow i was happy,i pulled them and HAPPY HOOD OPEN AGAIN

The hanger has to be hard enough to pull but soft enough for you to acommodate every angle every try, here ya go,this is how i opened mine, the work of your left hand guiding it to the latch is very very important, thats the reason you have to get familiar with the latch's location :

Here you go !

This is what the tool does :

Now you need this :

Or just do it yourself :
