Welcome to the Forum. Your question is been covered thousands of times in very technical detail. Folks here have mated many tranny to many motor options and documented it all here.

There is a "SEARCH" button in the middle of the tool bar, click it then click "advance search" Enter your specific search terms then scroll down to see the different forum options. Check C4 Tech/Perf for where the engine to search. Then read for the next month, then ask specific questions here in a NEW thread. Dont drag up a post from 6 years ago.

Good luck!

It "slams" out of gear? Does that mean it goes from 1st to neutral? Does it slam into 2nd gear? Some clarification will help.

I know when a tranny pops out of gear under torque it sounds like a sledge hammer slamming into the car

On my car if I'm at full throttle and shift from a gear to neutral (haven't really done this), the car just stops accelerating and the rpms skyrocket. I don't get the sledgehammer effect.

What year is your car?

Is the motor and trans out of a Corvette?
If so at min you'll need pedal assy, clutch master, drive shaft, C-beam.
The dayna33 isn't know for its longevity behind HP/tq, so you may want to find a dayna44
Then all the work to remove and install the 96 parts. If you don't have a 96 you'll need a computer, ccm, wiring harness, hope, luck, perseverence
Not trying to discourage you but the wiring alone would be a big pain unless you are starting with a 96.

Why not, if you have all the parts. Is the donor car beyond repair?
