96 LT1 tuning
I have a hypertech to tune with. I have seen on this forum a recommendation to leave the 180 thermostat in but change the on -off temp on the fans. If you tell the hypertech you have a 180 thermostat did that change the cooling fans on-off from stock settings? If you have a 180 thermostat and say you have a 160 what will happen? Does anyone know the results of these two situations? What about the positives and negatives of each one?

Yes, the 180* setting will change the fans on/off temps, and if you run a 180* stat with the 160* settings the fans will probably continuously run at low speeds or idle once the car is up to temp. If you keep the 180* stat, use the 180* setting.
