Looking for a Torque Converter
Need some help finding a 700R4 torque converter strong enough for a 450Hp/450Tq 350. A 9.5 inch converter is desired. Anyone have recommendations?

Yup send PeteK a message he can help you. Great torque converters, I have a 2800 stall 9.5 in lockup unit in my 92 and it was very worth while.

Another vote for PeteK, great converter at a good price.

What is it like around town with a 2800 rpm stall? Big difference?

I've heard Pete builds a good converter. I use a Precision Industries Vigilante 3 disk lockup converter. I have 2 in case one goes out. The one I'm using now has over 500 full throttle lockup runs in 2nd gear and the lockup is as solid as day 1. Good for 10.50s.

Install a trans cooler and a derale pan. Keep that tran as cool as possible 3000-3200 would be a good choice.

I'm going with Pete K. Thanks for all of the recommendations. This forum rocks. Come visit us sometimes on the C3 side, we do some good stuff over there. Look for Bee Jay's posts.
