How many $ for clutch replacement?

How many $ for clutch replacement?
Talked to a shop today after everyones diagnosis of my problem and they said to change the rear main seal and the clutch would be between 600-700$. Does that sound about right? Also any tips on a reliable clutch and anything else I should have done while it's apart?

Thats an awesome deal if its parts and labor.. Center force II clutches run for about 400ish from 84 to 88, an 620ish 89 to 93.. Thats a dual stage clutch.. Personally, i have driven vettes with factory replacements, centerforce single plate and dual plate clutches.. Im no professional driver or anything, but friends of mind have had better luck with the single plate for mildly mod'ed engines.. If the car is stock, or near stock.. I personally wouldnt spend the extra money for a dual plate since i've seen two last only six months tops.. (The guys were crummy drivers tho

Heh. I spent $1400 at a chevy dealer that does a lot of corvete work and had them completely redo my clutch. I just wanted it done right for once, and they did a fantastic job....
