Re: anyone have KBD targa mufflers? (quiksilver458)
I have a set of stainless steel KBD's on a 1987 L98, It has a low rumble, sounds like it's from really down deep. At idle, It's quiet, when you get on it , it rumbles and sounds like it means business, on the highway, you can hear the sweet low rumble of the V-8 just enough to make you want to turn the sound system off so you can loose yourself in it. I was a little concerned about putting the mufflers on, I've never heard them or saw them installed on a car. Once I installed them and heard them I knew I made the right choice. They look great, went on easy, and make the vette sound like a vette. They look great from the rear and from the side of the car, they tuck up just enough to look like they belong there. The SS should hold up well. The rest of the car is stock accept for BBS gold center wheels and a blue glass targa top and torch red paint.
I was considering those too.. I think the stainless look great!! But i have a thing with red an black on a Silver car :) Anyway, thanx a bunch.. You have persuaded me closer to the purchase.. :hat
You know it!! i been on ecklers drooling over the pix again.. i think im probably going to get the stainless ones in 3 inch.. they look so beautiful!!
