LT4 intake ?
Is the red on the GM LT4 intake paint, powdercoat, or something else. I finally was able to aquire one and really don't care for the red. Saving up for a set of AFR 195 LT4 eliminators next.

trade it for an lt1 intake; I believe they are the same; should have plenty of takers.

LT4 and LT1 intakes area not the same. LT4 intake has more material on top of the runners to match up with the LT4 heads taller intake ports.

Is there any gain to be had by an lt4 intake over a lt1 intake using lt1 heads?

"LT4 intakes were powder coated red from the factory to differentiate them from the standard LT1 manifold."
