HELP ME PLAN OUT MY MODS.... PLEASE [ADVICE]
1991 Corvette Coupe L98 6-spd. 3.45's
I need some help planning it out. My main goal is to be in the 12s somewhere. I want traffic light power. Dont want to lose my low end torque... I couldnt really care about topend over like 125. I need to do the free mods like remove the frisbee, TB bypass, Cut air-lid...are there any I missed? Im short on the $$ and I dont want N2O. I was thinking along the lines of Cam, Roller Rockers, Ported Heads. Labor is free... so. Dont worry about that. Any help would be great. Where do I start, because I wont be able to get everything at once?

Do the little stuff, like bypass and stuff. Then you can start at the back and go forwards, like exhaust and headers. Then start at the front and work in, like maybe a ram air setup if you like it.
Id think about toughening up the stuff that actually affects driving before delving into the motor, check shocks, new urethane bushings, maybe better sway bars and other components. And brakes.
Then the intake, whichever you like. Then work on the motor, heads and cam should go in at the same time. Get the heads beefed up with Ti retainers and better springs and valves. Your heads are the Dports so you could just have them ported i guess. I still think itd be a good idea to sell them and buy some AFRs to really get deep in the 11-12s.
2.) B&M Ripper Short Shifter and C.A.G.S. eliminator
3.) Hypertech Power Coil Kit with Holley Annihilator HEI Module
4.) MSD 8.5mm SuperConductor Wires
5.) AC Delco Rapidfire Plugs with Cut Back Electrodes
6.) 2½" Front Y-pipe with no Precats
7.) Random Tech Cat
8.) 2½" Rear Y-pipe with Muffler Eliminators
9.) Set of Sticky tires and practice driving!
Do all of that, then see what your car feels like. If you still want more power...build yourself a stroker!
1. Headers mated to a used LT1 cat-back system.
2. Cam...219 at minimum, but more aggressive custom cams will work better. Must replace valve springs. Recommend roller rockers with it.
3. Chip designed to work with the cam you install.
4. New intake: SR, MR or modified LT1 ( I hear you can get them for around $400-500 complete ready to bolt onto an L98 ).
5. C5 brakes.
6. Good tires.
You won't need any other fancy shmancy spend lotsa $$$ on thrust plates and bars and stuff...unless you just want to.
