Hey everyone. Does anyone have the part number for Flowmaster 40's for my 96 Vette? Not the Delta Flow but the louder one

you'll be sorry

when I took the 40 series off my '96 I couldn't even give them away.

if you insist, any muffler shop carrying the Flowmaster line can graft some onto your present exhaust...but...you'll be sorry

What was wrong with the Flowmasters? If they're that bad I might just get the Magna-flow mufflers.

they set off car alarms in parking garages; but worst part was the ungodly drone at highway speed...if you search the various exhaust threads, you'll see that I am not alone in expressing dissatisfaction with Flowmasters.

In truth, the exhaust system did not have the forward reasonator...although I doubt that the end result would have been much different. There are tons of hot rods out there that run shorty flowmasters...and they are all pretty loud. Go to any car show or rod run and someone will be happy to fire up his small block chevy and let you listen; just remember, no matter how loud it seems, it'll be louder in a corvette if for no other reason than you'll be that much closer to it.

The 40's are pretty loud but it kinda sounds like you may want that. Be warned tho, conversation will be near to impossible at hiway speeds

I run the 3 chamber system Flowmasters built for the early C4 (cat back) from TPIS; the tips run past the body......absolutely no drone in any gear, any speed, just a sporty tone through long tubes and hi flow cat.....no regrets at all other than keeping black paint where it belongs on the system......

You are my kind of Doctor.

Want your newly purchased Vette Race Car Loud.

Your wife or girlfriend may hate your Vette after riding 200 miles + on a long roadtrip driving 55- 90 MPH.

My M.D - Doctor that delivered me when I was brought into this world & when I was a teenager in 1983 had an original 1966 Ford A.C. Cobra 427 side oiler daul quad.
He drove it daily for office calls & home visits.

Blue with white stripe.

It was the Koolest car growing up to see & hear run.

Side pipes & all.

In 1966 I actually got a ride in one of those monsters. Never been in anything like it since.

Ive had the 40s on my 87 about 10 years. Too freakin loud. I wish the bastards would rust out so I'd have to replace them. They will no doubt last another 10 years at least.

The original 2 chamber 40s?

Youll have tinnitus in less than 6 mos. They are LOUD.
Had them in a Fox body stang and my 67 yrs ago I will never ever use them again. Its not even the exhaust you hear just an overpowering buzz in the car and a weird higher pitched harmonic hum at higher cruise speeds.

Last run I took with a set of those was about 60 mi one way fwy run
My ears rang for hrs afterwards, they were off the car and trashed the next week.
