Or just "glue" one side of the gaskets with silicone for positioning. Considering the wedge shape of the plenum, I considered that the best option.

I also considered it easier to remove the valve covers to access the bottom runner bolts. Of course, that means removing the EGR pipe which is it's on PITA.

Also, be sure when you set the fuel rails on top of the injectors, you don't pinch one of the o-rings. Ask me how I know.
You will spray fuel all over your engine and possibly have a fire. I was fortunate and did not have a fire, but had to go through the whole process again to replace that bad o-ring. I did go alot faster the second time though.
Just take your time and it would be a good idea to rebuild the fuel rail while it is out.
Just my thoughts

Did you have to pull the EGR valve when you did that method of pulling the fuel rail?

I'll be back here, just don't know when.
I've ordered the gaskets from FIC, but it will take a while for them to show up here since I've ordered several items in the US and have them shipped to a place were they put everything in a container for shipping to Sweden.
It could take a month and a half to show up here.
