Default Pulling Fuses

Hey everyone. I posted before that my plate lights, reverse lights and the lights under the hood don't work. I'm going to pull the fuses that's on the passengers side off. I'm praying that it's just blown fuses because if just one light was broken the other lights should still work. Anyways, I was wondering that since I will be pulling the fuses for the lights will it hurt my car if I pull off the fuses one by one just to check what condition they're in. I mean will anything like the computer or other electrical items have to be reset? Thanks in advance, Ed

No biggie otherwise. If you use an ohmmeter, you can verify a short with the fuse in circuit, but either way will get you some info.

How clean is it under the hood. The reason I ask is it may be a dirty connector that supports the lights in question. My Park Ave lost the brake lights so i checked the fuse, then the switch. Both OK. Then I found there was no power to the switch so I followed the harness to a connector in the engine bay that was soaked in grease. Disassembled said connector, cleaned thoroughly, and reconnected. All lights worked. Good luck.

Not long after I got it, I pulled the fuses on my 88 with no problem - pulled them out one by one and checked each with an multi-meter (on ohm setting) to make sure each was good. To be extra safe, you might want to disconnect the battery to make sure that you don't accidentally cause a short.
