I went with moog. The moog kits come with hardware for installation. I'm sure other manufacturers do the same.

Replacements are attached with bolts, should be included with the joint.

Rivets cost me an arm.

Got the joints in the other day but waited until some clearer weather to start doing anything. Ground the heads off the rivets but having a lot of trouble getting these rivets out of their holes. Any advice on how to get these out a little easier?

If you need to replace you ball joints because they are worn then disregard this but, if the ball joints are fine and its just the boot that is the concern you could remove the dust boots and install some energy suspensiom poly dust boots.... just a thought.

If you do replace the ball joints I found moog was pretty good quality when I did mine.

I just replaced the ball joints in my '90 this spring. They are a huge PITA to remove. I needed to grind and drill them out. It took a very long time. Be patient, you'll get them out.

That's $600.00 for control arms, all four Moog joints are $200.00 I have done ball joints on alot of cars and a ball joint press for bottom and rivet removeal should not cost $400.00.

It's been 6 years, probably too late to change that person's mind.

I agree but info for others, just do ball joints not control arms unless needed.

Same here, drilled and pressed out. First I tried to hand drill, just one messed up hole should be okay.

Other ways then press will work, but really really annoying. Hell, the damn things are annoying period.
