Be careful. That is one of the two books I have and there are some errors in one of them. Dont remember which one. If this is the one, look at the definitions for INT vs Block Learn (uses different terms if I remember right). The one that has errors really butchers that subject.

I think thats the messed up one. Dont get me wrong, lots of useful info in it, but for example, BLM is your long term adjustment, INT is short term. That book has them switched.

Also the '98-'01 LS1 schematics (they are all lumped together) are not correct. They may actually be correct for '98 but not '99+, particularly wrt PCM pinouts. It's not a bad high level overview but it's not an engineering reference by any means. Very hand wavy in places.
