The car is really running like a raped ape!!! since I have upgraded to the 1.6 RR's and LT4 springs, however. I noticed an exhaust manifold leak on the driver side.
I was wondering if this could affect HP???
How tough is it to change the gaskets(I would need some WD 40 on the heat rusted looking bolts). It looks pretty tight with the ABS and all. I am sure I would have to remove some things but how hard it the job???
Re: Ehaust manifold leak. Does this decreast HP??? (92LT1Roadster)
Not a hard job at all. Just remove the ASR controller and you can get right to everything. If you unbolt the ASR controller from the wheel well it will just lay over out of the way.
As for the HP difference if anything a leak will slow you down.
Re: Ehaust manifold leak. Does this decreast HP??? (DragMan)
Yep. I guess I can tackle this one. I called a shop to do it since I have been so busy at work.. $250 per side. It is not a bad price but if I can do it myself... I can party with the saved $250 afterwards. Beer and the strip bar  hahah
