Default Setting Cooling Fan Temps

I have a HPPIII on the way to reset the speedo after gear install and while I'm waiting I've changed out the thermostat to a 160 degree. What temps should I program the fans to come on and off? Also can I turn off the CAGS with the HPPIII? Thanks.

I have mine coming on at aroud 192 and shutting off at around 185. My program deals in Celcius, that's the reason for the weird numbers.

Just disconnect the CAGS. I used two rubber caps to protect the connections. If it throws a code stick a 2.2k ohms resistor (5/$1 Radio Shack) in the male connection.

jrw, I have the HPP programming set to bring the primary fan on at about 182 (IIRC) and the secondary fan on at about 193 on my 94 and I have the 160 degree T-stat as well. Of course I am currently dealing with figuring out if I have an intake manifold or head gasket leak as well  (what the heck, I have 107,000 miles on my 94):smash: . - Denney

Already have CAGS disconnect hooked up but would prefer to reconnect amphenols and turn CAGS off with programmer. Can it be accomplished with the HPPIII?

Id leave it disconnected by itself. I dont even know if it can be turned off with a PP.

As for the fans, turn them on somewhere between 190-205 and off at around 175-185.
