Larry, you first have to get or borrow yourself a device that can read chips. Then you can go to the Cats "Tuner Pro" site and get the version you need to read the bin file.

I've found the Moates site much more complete for bins & def files.
Thanks guys, I have the Moates burner, TTS Datamaster and Tunerpro,, but I loaded WIN7 onto the lap top and lost the old programs,, I just reloaded them and pulled the chip info into the Buffer and saved it to a .bin file...
For some reason, the chip is now turning the radiator puller fan on as soon as the cold car starts up, the old chips do not do that, so I want to look at the chip to see when he is turning the fan on.
I cant wait to get the harness for the FAST XFI and begin to install it,
............ Does the SES light stay on ? If so , that and the cooling fan running would indicate that you're running in limp home mode ................
I'm using a 6E xdf with a very modded ARAP bin. The 6E eliminates the cold start valve. I think there is a different bin guys are using with stick cars though.
For an 85 with a 165 ecm swap, you will normally need to set the N.O. Cooling Fan Req input (like an f-body bin). This switch is not set in the typical vette bins.
Otherwise, the ecm thinks that the A/C high pressure switch is closed and the cooling fan will be activated via AC high pressure.
To confirm, you can check your AC high pressure switch to determine if its really a normally open or normally closed switch. You should also verify that you have the correct setting in the bin.
