Default MAF delete

Since I'm going to Speed Density or Alpha N with the 2.0 XFI, there will be no need for the MAF ,, whoo hoo

I'm wondering what everyone did for the MAF delete, ,,, what did you use to replace the deleted MAF sensor?

Any pics?

90-91 air intake, Cone on the TB, SLP claw. Those are the ones I've seen the most.

You can probably use LT intake pieces too.

I used a later model C4 air duct, the ones without a MAF. I think it is something like 89 thru 93 not for sure. Then I made my own air box kind of like a C5/C6. See picture below.

I would probably start with the later L98/LT1 intake and modify from there til it fit, or if time wasnt pressing, I'd get some hose material to fab one up from scratch, and connect it to a custom airbox like he did above.

I'd make sure its a cold air box.

Would if the lower part that mates to the 90-91 lower cleaner would fit on an 85?

Is the radiator angle similar?

That's the most simple solution,, after all of the AO Eng install hacking,, I hate to dump it.

Before I made my own air box (pictured above) I borrowed a friend’s late C4 air box to see if it would work in my 1985. I did not fit because of the different radiator shroud due to the different positioning (angle) of the radiators in the different years of the C4.
