What Do They Do???
as u see, at no.1 there should be a tube leading something out or in that intake thing. but i dont know what.
the pipe i marked as no.2, this i located in the driver side of the engine and its next to the headers, the next image is a zoomed out pic.
The last image i cant tell what these things do? i followed the no.2 pipe and it seems to be going into the no.2 mark on the last pic. and i have no idea what is no.3 is for.

And what does INFL REST mean on my display screen?

That hose thats upturned goes to the cat. No fresh air for the cat to burn, it dies and eventually plugs up. If its there now, its already dead from lack of fresh air to create a burn.
No evap purge, the gas fumes collect in the crankcase and do not get returned to the tank or burned. The fitting on the throttle body is for the hose to the evap/purge system by the driver headlite.
Is there a PCV still? Thats one of the silliest things I've ever seen, is the hillbilly
belief that PCV robs an engine of power. You can probably live without some of the A.I.R. system IF its properly d/c...BUT the PVC and purge really need to be there. I'm just guessing, but did the EGR get plugged as well? Doing that requires a major change in the tune so you don;t destroy the motor with engine knock from high combustion temps.
Basically, the air pump either sends fresh air to either the header (now gone) or to the Cat depending on warm or cold or certain eng conditions. Its there for a reason. Now whatever is left of the emissions system cannot possibly work. Someone was just too cheap or ignorant to do it right.
See whats left and make a decision as to what you want to do...get it done right, or gamble on how it currently is and how its going to effect the life of the engine.
I'd get a FSM and start learning the systems and finding the parts that are still there and see which pieces you need to locate to restore the systems that need to be functional.
Need to know what yr car...that tends to help a little. Also what state are you in and does that state do ANY form of emissions testing at all?

Well, you CAn delete the AIR system completely but the tune has to be altered or modified. Same for EGR but I'd leave that in place because it helps cool the combustion in extreme heat conditions so the eng does not melt down and knock to death. The evap emissions ....I like having the fumes collected and returned. harms nothing and like PCV works toward keeping things (eng systems) clean and functional.
You really need the FSM to see whats what and whats left...Then a local tuner with the software to re-tune the engine to the parts that are on it or any upgrades that have been done.
Good Luck..
BTW
FSM 2 book sets sell on fleaBay for $75 used and new go for $150. Links are on here somewhere.
